Fredericksburg Fire: Crews Respond to 8640 acer wildfire in Gillespie Country

Update: 4.21 P.M on Saturday, March 15

The Fredericksburg fire EMS department made a post on Facebook that the fire team was unable to do anything about the wildfire that had spread over 8,640 acres in Fredericksburg, so the fire team began evacuating all the people in the area. The fire team had 0% control over the wildfire and the fire was moving towards the city at a great speed.

Fredericksburg fire chief Lynn Bizzel said we can’t do it this time. Our goal is air support for TDEM and A&M fores service. Our team is on the other side of the fire and is watching how to control this fire.

People living under Highway 16 North and FM1631, Ranch Road 1323 and Ranch Road 2721 are in the process of evacuating this area.

People in this area are available to live at 3022 N. State Highway 16, Fredericksburg, TX 78624. Workers from the Fredericksburg Fire EMS Department were requested to assist the first team in cleaning up this fire.
